Good Luck in Your New Job

Here is a card I have made for some special.  I have made it using Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamp called "Boston Terrier".  Look at that cute face on the terrier!  I have coloured the image in with my Graph'it pens and highlighted areas with my white Graph'it pen.

The backing papers I have used were from my stash.

I have used a Marianne Deigns die and cut out a shape and distressed around with Tim Holtz's Aged Mahogany distress ink.  I think sewed some bugle bears around the inner edge of the image.

I have finished the card off with some punched flowers from scraps of the backing paper, burgundy textured Veletta ribbon, Bordeaux 25mm organza ribbon, sentiment off the computer and a teardrop shaped gem.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Cute Card Thursday - Dies and punches
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything goes
Suzy Bee's Blooming Challenge - Anything goes with a twist to use some red (hope burgundy red is OK)
Di's Digi Designs - Girly challenge

Buckwells Crafty Challenge Very First Challenge - October 2014

Today is the day that sees the start of another challenge blog starting up in Blogland.  The challenge blog is called "Buckwells Crafty Challenge" and we are a monthly challenge.  The full rules, which are very simple, can be found on the Buckwells Crafty Challenge Blog.

The first challenge is an easy one for you of "anything goes".
I decided to go for a Halloween inspired card.  I have used an image by Charmaine Flannary called "Big Bad" and is available from Sweet Pea Stamps as a digital stamp.  I have coloured the image in with my Graph'it pens and inked around the image with Tim Holtz's Old Paper and Black Soot distress inks.
The backing papers are from a new release at Bearly Mine Designs.  This set is called "Halloween Fantasy".

I have finished the card off with a die-cut feather which I have coloured with Tim Holtz's Aged Mahogany and Black Soot distress inks, sentiment off the computer, Martha Stewart spider's web border punch, Martha Stewart bat punch and some really really gorgeous black satin ribbon from Buckwell Craft Supplies (I do like ruffling ribbon but sometimes with satin ribbon it can be a bit "rough" but this one is soft soft and ruffles very well).

Make sure you pop along to Buckwell Craft Supplies to have a look at all the goodies that are in the shop.
It would be lovely if you could join in with the very first challenge over at Buckwells Crafty Challenge.
This is the prize for the first challenge.  It is a selection of organza and satin ribbon from Buckwell Craft Supplies.

It is the first day of the month and therefore time for another challenge over at the Bearly Mine Designs Challenge Blog.  This month the topic is "Halloween".  Here in the UK we don't really celebrate it much but the big kid in me likes to play around with stuff for Halloween.
The image I have used for my pumpkin shaped card is called "Halloweenie - Vamp" by Delicious Doodles.  I have coloured the image in with my Graph'it pens.  Around the mount I used a Martha Stewart cobweb punch.
For my card I have used the Bearly Mine Designs paper set called "Happy Hauntings".  I used my Cricut to cut out the rather large pumpkin.

I have finished the card off with some spider ribbon, spider with google eyes (cut with my Cricut) and sentiment off the computer.
